Je ne sais pas si Berger est une source fiable (ou une source du tout) mais ce sera amusant de spéculer sur celle-ci ! Des idées de proposition ?
Whispers getting louder about the #Leafs and Carolina discussing a trade involving Mitch Marner. Toronto could make no bigger mistake… https://t.co/V60gbLkB0c #LeafsForever pic.twitter.com/F6gznYP5Cb

If you click on the article he has linked in his tweet it literally has 0 mention of a Marner trade lol.
Marner for Rod the Bod.
I’d do Andrei Svechnikov for Marner straight up. Maybe you could get Pesce in the deal as well if he doesn’t want to sign an extension with Carolina.
Marner for Aho + Jarvis?
I can neither see a mega deal going through while we have no GM in place, nor Carolina being ready to do a deal of that magnitude so soon after losing.
I like the la kings trade idea… that popped up.
Marner for the zamboni driver
Read the article and there wasn’t a single
mention about Mitch. But if this is true, would only consider it if Aho/Jarvis is among the trade. That’s it.
Blockbuster of all blockbusters for 2 teams who need shakeups: Marner + Nylander for Svechnikov + Pesce, 1st
There are lots of whispers from every corner. Few of them have any credibility.
If Marner were to be traded, I could see Chicago being a fit. They have the cap room, and they are going to want someone to play with Bedard. A top playmaker to set him up who is defensively responsible for helping his inevitable rookie mistakes seems to be a good fit.
It’s in the West (bonus), and getting our first back would be nice along with Jones (a couple million retained) along with whatever picks/good prospects to even it out.
It gives the Leafs another good defenseman and with some retention a somewhat reasonable price. Our own first back which takes some of the worry out of having a down year and a surplus of picks/prospects to refresh our system which has been drained for a few years. Still would save about 4 million on the cap which gives more flexibility to move forward.
Both teams were just beaten in similar fashion by the panthers. A swap of soft talent between the two teams isn’t the answer.
Marner and Matthews should be surrounded by guys who can play physical so they can do what they do best. Neither Carolina or Toronto has figure that out yet.
Trade with what GM?
He’s not going anywhere this is a shit post
