Mavs will help facilitate a sign and trade… If not we are talking about Irving who would sign with the Lakers for the veterans minimum just to prove his point and then be an FA after LeBron leaves. Kyrie’s talent isn’t going to slip so he could afford to do this next season. The Mavs would probably end up losing Luka if Irving pulled this move after the Mavs said no to a sign and trade. Fun thing is Cuban is stubborn enough to let this happen too.

Fred shoots 39% and 34% from 3. He would be a good volume scorer like Jamal crawford off the bench, like he was when Lowrey was there. Perfect role. Put him on a decent team that needs someone who can get a quick 6 points off the bench while a starter rests. But him "getting paid" would be a mistake unless you want to lose.
