Houston… The 4th largest City in the U.S., creates a rivalry with Dallas & adds another team to the South.
Kansas City Missouri we already have a ready arena the T-Mobile Center ready to go for a team

Salt Lake City is also trying to host the Winter Olympics again in 2030 or 2034, which would likely involve building a brand new hockey specific arena.

Coyotes has a better chance in staying in Arizona over coming to Canada. If it happens it might go to Kansas or Salt Lake City
The game doesn't grow by putting a team in the same corner of the map as 40% of the league and over half of the East. A team would make more sense in Houston or Salt Lake City. Dallas is already a great market and giving them an in-state rival that will help grow the game south and west
Houston, salt lake city, and Saskatoon make the most sense. You can't move Detroit back to the West. It wouldn't help their travel.
