This series… Johnston and Seguin with 0 points, Benn and Domi with 1 point a piece and Hintz and Pavelski with 2 points a piece. VGK shut down the star players of Dallas outside of Robertson. Game 6 was a field day for Vegas. If they bottle their performance from Game 6 and implement it throughout the finals it’ll be VGK in 5 or 6.
it happened…. both teams will take the cup for the first time. Will Florida cope with emotions? Vegas shows a tight game, fewer mistakes. I think Vegas will take the trophy. But I want Florida to get it, because they have earned it for a long time, 26 years old ….
Gonna be a great final. 2 big, tough, physical teams with lot's of skill and hot goalies.

its been a MINUTE since a non top-5 goalie won a cup – (tim thomas with boston maybe, or did they win with rask one yr?) but you'd expect a team with a Shesterkin, Vasilevsky, Ullmark level elite goalie win the cup – tbh as a NYR fan its been wild seeing Cam Talbot have a great year after leaving (i think for EDM initially) but then our next back up Raanta ends up being a starter this year and before that it was Georgiev who's now the (for now) defending stanley cup champ…

lil random but worth mentioning here: the NYR scout Goalies better than anyone (pretty much went from Richter to Lundqvist to Shesterkin with almost no gap other than richter to Hank they had Dunham/Blackburn etc) and even the backups go on to start after playin with our coaching staff for a yr – as a rangers fan its obv always a slog most seasons but its nice knowing youve got an elite player at the most important position for decades and i cant believe its just luck/coincidence, its gotta be scouting/Goalie coaching etc

Hot Take: No matter what Goalie lifts the cup – they'll be the first 'non elite' goalie in a WHILE to win a cup (i guess Kuemper was ranked #9 overall when the Avs won last yr but before that i think the only cup winning goalie who wasnt a top ten goalie that year statistically is Antti Niemi who helped the Blackhawks win it all in 08/09 so its been a while!
though you get these 'one year/one playoff wonder' goalies (like poss Aiden Hill this yr) or Bobrovsky going from good/great to great/elite this playoffs but not all year – shows you how diff playoff hockey is played, i dont think goalies just get better (many do under pressure tho) but they've got a team playing tighter DEF and backchecking/hsutling more etc

As impressive as Vegas making TWO SC Finals trips since joining as an expansion im sorry but Bobrovsky may not be ELITE but he's not gonna lose a series to Aiden Hill unless hill goes full 'one series/playoff wonder'
Props to the Dallas fans that stuck it out tio the bitter end to cheer on their teams accomplishments – Conf. Finals loss isnt anything to be ashamed of…unless you were Boston but well, we know how that went lol

This SC Finals will have the lowest quality (statistically) goalies in recent NHL history (Bobrovskys ranked #9 i think and Aiden Hill hasnt even played enough to have stats that mean anything) – that said, if The GK's win BECAUSE of Hill outplaying Bob then fair enough, anything can happen in one series but i think its gonna be HIGH scoring)

3 years ago dallas was at their top gameplay, now they are a shadow of a past. sad but true.
Okay, I know Dallas absolutely got handled here, but Dallas did not deserve to win, nobody in that Arena gives a crap about hockey. Half the arena was empty by the second period, and they don't even stand up. If they score, it's texas, so they rub it in your face like they're better than you, but the rest of the time they sit there like they're at AMC watching a movie. every game, especially regular season. I won't even go to games anymore as a Detroit fan I tried to see games in Dallas, but it's a snore Fest, move the team back to Minnesota where people care

This game was really disappointing. The team just completely fell apart.
Hopefully we come back stronger next season. Vegass is also my most hated team now.
They have the fakest fanbase of any team in the NHL. After Dallas loses, at least we come in the comment's section. Everyone knows that after Vegass loses, their fanbase completely disappears. And before you talk about the Stars fans leaving during the third period in a blowout loss in the third period, any team's fanbase would have done that. Looking forward to next season. Hopefully Vegass loses and Jack Eichel suffers a career ending injury.
