  1. Keep him get rid of marner …not a high performer under duress ..his style of play especially in the playoffs and under pressure needs to mature …playing in Toronto isnt helping him ..help us by helping him move him

  2. Toronto Sports Network wants Matthews to remain in Toronto. Surprise, Surprise.

  3. Matthews is resigning how much? and how many yrs? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

  4. If I was Auston Matthews I'd demand a trade to Las Vegas as they have a proven track record of going deep in the playoffs every season.

  5. The GM from Calgary is tone def.Lost his 2 best players, 1 for nothing.Thats you're guy!Stupid

  6. So the news in Toronto is..there is no news in Toronto. I feel for you Canadian hostages who are fed the koolaid in an attempt to convince you that the Leafs should matter. No, what matters is who is going to win the Stanley Cup. Thanks God for VPNs and American television! Disappointing TSN. You're as bad as Sportsnet.

  7. Bergevin for GM, AM will say he wants to stay in Toronto….until he leaves! Consider him gone.

  8. Even if Matthews DO NOT WANT to stay in Toronto, he and the Leafs Brass will never admit it.

If it comes out that Matthews will want to leave the Leafs, what happened to Tavares in Long Island will be child's play. The pressure on the management to trade him for a King's ransom will be immense; nothing will be good enough.

  9. LOL Bergevin isnt even worth mentioning. Dude couldn't manage a junior C hockey team

  10. Why is THIS anything to do with what Auston Matthews want's? If Auston Matthews wants to stay in Toronto, then tell him to turn into a 50 goal scorer in the regular season that has the grit and determination of a strong power forward. But you can't ask that and Matthews can't become what he isn't. Cut your losses and trade this wuss now, while his value is at it's highest. Don't wait till July 1st, when he gets all the leverage; trade him NOW. Either LA or the Rangers, but bail on this anchor now. He isn't worth 11.5 and he certainly won't be worth 13.5 or higher next year. The Leaf's cannot build a cup contender while Matthews is sucking them dry. You cannot add the pieces that you need by trading Marner or Nylander; Matthews has gotta go.

  11. Matthews is an elite centre. At minimum a top 5 player in the NHL. He claims he wants to re-sign in TO, but the question is for how long & for how much. If Matthews doesn't offer some kind of discount to the Leafs (which he has no obligation to do), then that tells me he isn't serious about winning a championship in TO. Regardless of whether he signs for 3 yrs or longer, if he insists on max aav, then that means it's all about the money & nothing else. MacKinnon could've got 13-14M per season on his extension & was massively underpaid on his previous long term deal, but took 12.6 to help out his team for the forseeable future. If Auston won't do something similar, then that tells you all you need to know.

  12. please wait for some real news. we know the search continues.

  13. of course he's going to say he wants to stay, 1) still has a year left. 2) trying to see if Toronto will pay him the 14 Mil he wants.

  14. Toronto can't score because the goal song is "Make My Dreams Come True" by Hall & Oates. That's pathetic FFS!! I wouldn't want to score either if I had to hear that song played right after 🤣. Toronto should trade Matthews for a better DJ.
