How does he expect to do this job while living in a tree?
Disastrous-Group4521
Big mistake!
What did he do for Calgary?
Or even for Arizona as the assistant GM?
Drove both franchises into worse spots when nobody thought that was possible…
This would be a proud boys hockey hiring and it disgusts me

I’m at a point where I have no idea what is going to make this team successful. He doesn’t have a great resume, so not sure what they see in him.
Mr_Sausage__
Lol. How can an employer look at his resume and say “That’s our guy!”
Definite downgrade.

Will TSN talk about this more than the Vegas – Florida Stanley cup final for the next two weeks? Probably

I feel for Leaf fans. It’s like they keep testing your loyalty.

Over Dubas? Toronto dumb

I’m surprised they didn’t hire Chuck Fletcher.

I will stand by the statement he’s a decent GM who rolled the dice a couple times and got fucked by COVID. I honestly think had the pandemic not happened chucky and Johnny wouldn’t have been as inclined to move back to the states
ElectionAnnual
I do think this is a downgrade, but I also think he’s getting it a little harsh. Calgary got completely flipped upside down losing Johnny and Tkachuck. I think we need to see another season. Especially, since it seems Suter was not well received in the locker room. Blame him for Suter being there too long? Fine, but FLA is a Cinderella story rn and I’m not sure it’s fair to completely compare the two teams. Florida and Calgary played basically the same in the regular season. Florida only made it because Pit decided to lose to an AHL team, for whatever reason.

Loading up on popcorn. This should be entertaining.

He may turn a new leaf in Toronto, pun intended. Lots of comments just dismissing him outright, but you never know! maybe the Leafs will improve under new management. I’m not super hopeful that this will be the case, but you never know, sometimes a change for changes sake is all that is needed

Gonna be a Boston pizza in there now

If you listen closely, you can hear Steve Dangle still denying that this is happening.

So the man who made the Calgary Flames worse by trading the likely 2023 Conn Smythe winner is now going to right the ship in Toronto?
When you assess players -that- poorly, you should never be in charge of a team ever again.

Until he is, or the Dubas is official. Imma just ignore these rumors for now.

So who should they have hired instead?

Three words: Central Hockey League.

Wild stuff. No idea what they see in Treliving. I’d be fairly upset at the downgrade if I were a Leafs fan.

You mean assistant gm cause shanny won’t fully hand over the reigns

Honest question: does he keep or fire Keefe?
And can he decide before the Rangers hire Laviolette so maybe we avoid a potential mistake?
