Life long Leafs fan, I can expect to be a fan of a new team next year. This guy is just going to be Nonis 2.0. Good luck to him, but I don’t expect much.
If the "core 4" is returning…I don't see how this organization has the financial flexibility or assets to really change the dynamic of the team. Rotating 3rd and 4th liners is not the answer. Keefe is not going to change the way he coaches. Not sure we're going to see much change here.
this team will have no picks and no success just like under dubas
Brad Treliving | 9 seasons | 362-265-73 .621% | 2 Division titles
Playoffs | 14-25 | 2nd Round Twice | Qualified for playoffs 55% of the time
Left Calgary with $1.25M to fill 5 roster positions for 2023-24 season ($250,000 per)
Kyle Dubas | 5 seasons | 221-109-42 .706% | 1 Division title
Playoffs | 13-18 | 2nd Round Once | Qualified for playoffs 80% of the time
Left Toronto with $9.14M to fill 8 roster positions for 2023-24 season ($1.14M per)
Oh boy
He's gonna trade Matthews for Huberdeau
As a positive..
He is not afraid to make trades. The biggest issue will be making those trades and getting a return that will win them the Stanley Cup.
We all know Tkachuk wanted to be traded, and the return he got for him was awesome however those players didn't get to where the Team needed to be at the end of the Regular Season.Remember Calgary was only a point ahead of Florida.Yet Florida is on the Stanley Cup Final.
One would think that the players they got in return would at least squeek then in..
10 UFA July 1 is a load on his shoulders walking into this one
and Mathews and Nylander after next season.
It's a load and hopefully he signs a good contract, cause this GM position could easily be short-lived one if Toronto goes backwards this next season.
Treliving. if you look at calgary's team with him as gm. not very good . only the leafs would hire a new gm worse than theie old gm.
Idiots it is not a learning process to not lose your best players for nothing.
Toronto, your roster is about to get older, slower and more expensive.
The treliving are best known for their mediocre overpriced pizza franchise
This is a huge step back for leafs fans
Because the best guy for the job is the guy that lost the biggest trade of the 2022-2023 season 😂.
Hilarious! Absolutely Hilarious
Why not just keep Dubas if you're going to hire this guy. This makes no sense.
This time GM stands for Great Mistake.
Brad gave Tkachuk the 3 year deal in the first place!
