Just based off of the new reports that are coming out it feels like Dubas wanted to make dramatic changes, Shanahan did not. So Dubas is let go and they bring in a guy who will probably be more obedient to Shanahan than Dubas. For all of the people that said that ownership in Calgary limited Brad it doesn’t look like he’s walking into a much better situation

Best of luck to him, hope he has better luck than he had here

I wish him only ill (professionally).

Best of luck to the Boston Pizza man! 🫡

Sounds like a Tre just grew a new Leaf. Wish him all the best

I liked Brad but we won 2 series under him and all our stars left. Obviously he’s not the only factor, but it’s not like our team shat gold under him.

Leafs fans acting like this is the end of the world 😂

He was great for us but I wish Toronto no success.

I wonder who he’s gonna take with him

Best of luck to Tre. Deserved another shot but if he thought Calgary was unforgiving…

I really like Treliving and feel he’s massively underrated by Flames fans as GM. I’d wish him luck, but now that he’s a Leaf, I cannot.

So I guess he needed a month to get away from it all and now hes back at a more intense market lol

This has epic fail written all over it.
No control, worse ownership, no cap space, no draft capital all wrapped up in win now expectations.

Farewell GMBT!
He was our best/most exciting GM in years. Might be slightly biased, but I feel he was one of the best GMs in the NHL over the last decade. Thrilling trades, humble personality, understood and could connect with players/coaches/media, and understood the need for players to feel at home (either by signing home grown kids, or bringing in players that had history with other players on the team). Hockey is a game, after all. Should be fun times with good friends! I will miss the era that just came to a close, and I have all the faith that he will do the best he can in Toronto.
That being said, I am really looking forward to seeing what direction GMCC take the Flames this off season, starting most with his decision for HC.
Go Flames!!
Ps – I’m 100% cheering for Playoff Sam and Tkachuckles during the Finals!!

Surprising nobody tbh. Good luck Brad.
