    Congrats!. Defend Bedard at all costs. He is a lifeline to only to the Hawks, but also to your channel. The surging hockey interest in Chicago reiterates Bedard landed in the right place.

    Let's say, the Hawks can take a salary dump and give up #19 to get #11. Is it possible to use the #11 and either the 2nd round picks in 2023 or even the Tampa 1st in 2024 to move up to #6 this year to select Michkov?

    Bedard needs a mentor OFF the ice, not one on the ice. We all do at 18. He'll be fine on the ice as long as he has skill players around him. I wouldn't mind a skilled bigger vet who can stay in front of the net though. That would be good for goals.

    If you took on OELs contract in exchange for Pick 11 and sent back a 2nd it wouldn't be bad plus you could trade him away as a cap dump later yourself when everyone else needs signed.

    Can I ask what CHGO’s apparent disgust for Kaner is lol? Not Toews so much but him a little too…but Kane in particular, any time his name comes up, Greg especially, rolls his eyes and scoffs in abject disgust. I know he’s not the Dallas Stars who can never get it done or the Florida Panthers who are on a miracle run that’ll probably not be a repeat thing…

    I think Kane absolutely IS the best mentor candidate for Bedard and after how things shook out in NY, has he had a change of heart? Does he really want to move his family a 2nd time in under a year? Forget what he says publicly…I think he would absolutely be open to coming back. It’s Davidson who seems to have shut the door more than Kaner returning.

    I think it could be career altering for a young superstar to have the baton passed to him by his iconic, champion predecessor and it’s an opportunity you don’t often get. Lemieux to Crosby, to a lesser extent, Savard to Kane…it can be a extremely beneficial. No one else on earth has been in Connors exact shoes…Not only that, it gives Connor someone who’s on his level to play with and I think having some ice time with ol’ Uncle Showtime will unlock a previously undiscovered element of Connors game and make him even better.
    I just don’t get the “don’t let the door hit ya on the ass on the way out” vibe toward Kaner at all. He’s probably the best to ever do it in a Hawks sweater, that doesn’t grow in trees, why be in such a rush to get him out and lock the door
