I’d rafter have Nylander anyway if he’d be more willing to trade him than Marner

I never understood the « Necas for Marner » talks. Y’all do realize that every single complaint you have about Necas’ game is equally applicable to Marner, right? He’s unquestionably a better player but he also plays scared in the postseason, has some big mental lapses, doesn’t really engage along the boards, and also prefers to pass first. Holds on to pucks too long, gets too fancy, and/or and tries to force plays that don’t exist, leading to turnovers.

I don’t think he’s the answer regardless but that’s just me.

Marner never made sense for us

Marner is more of what the Canes already have

We don’t need him. We need a healthy Svech and Turbo and for Bobrovsky to not have one of the greatest goalie performances in history.

But that didn’t happen and now people for some reason think we should make a big trade. I don’t see it. I think we are business as usual. We’ll likely grab a second tier star from a team with cap issues and be top 3 in the league again.
