If the same people are making the decisions IE Brendan Shanahan!! Does it really matter who's the GM!! The Leafs need ONE person to make all personal decisions! That way if it not getting better after 3 years or so you KNOW who's the problem! Brendan Shanahan needs to be FIRED!!

Great! A GM who has missed the playoffs as many times as he's made them. I hope his choice for a coach realizes its not a full time job, since he fires them about every year and a half or so. We trade a GM who has made the playoffs every year for a GM who doesn't…. and who will get permission to fire a coach who has made the playoffs each year and allow him to hire anyone… which no doubt will be a buddy of his. Remind me again why we want this guy???
Remember…. this is the guy who traded Matthew Tkachuk and in return, missed the playoffs.

treliving is not good at all. and that's good for me because i'm a Habs fan and anything that cuts the leafs i'm for… and treliving is a giant step sideways.
So many bashing comments. Give the guy a chance. Calgary is Calgary. Treliving turned down a contract extension and parted ways with the team. It seems the players were not happy with Sutter. Two weeks after Treliving left Sutter gets fired. Now the Flames players waiting to hear who the next coach will be before committing further. To me it sounds and looks like a lot of meddling from the ownership group.
Treliving has a good hockey mind. I think he needs to find the Leafs a STRONG goaltender. We will see
