It's just so strange how everything worked out.
Pittsburgh losing to Chicago lowered Chicago's odds of getting Bedard–which ironically got them Bedard. It got Florida into the top wild card spot, which bounced Boston and Toronto, and gave Florida a shot to go to the Finals. And Florida beating Toronto exacerbated the soap opera in Toronto, which got Dubas fired, and gifted him the position he felt he'd earned… in Pittsburgh… who desperately needed someone like Dubas. All that because the Pens played like crap and lost to a glorified AHL team. Pretty crazy.
I’ve never clicked on a daily shot of penguins so fast
I don't think granlund is this absolutely terrible player like a lot of people act like. He's over paid for what he actually provides but he's not terrible. Give him a full training camp with the team and he'll fit in the bottom two lines. Carter on the other hand I can't defend.
Im excited for Dubas' shot in Pitt and i appreciate his long leash.. Hes got a crazy hard 2 headed task between continuing the Crosby/Malkin/Letang era and starting the next era.
Huge upgrade over Burke even if it doesn't work out. Allows us to get a super talented GM without worrying about their experience.
My points are that Dubas does not suit up and take the ice, so if Tavares and Co. are not scoring enough in the playoffs, then that is on them, not Dubas.
As for the Lamest Laffs' goaltending….Detroit won Cups with Osgood. Boston had Linus Ullmark, a Buffalo reject.
Saw lots of negative remarks from Leafs fans….as if Dubas failed to score on Bob….serves 'em right.
Remember that Craig Patrick was fired by the Rangers before he came to Pittsburgh and CP's figerprints are on every Stanley Cup this franchise has won.
Best wishes for Dubas and I hope he and his family enjoy Western Pennsylvania…n'at.
Pens fans get ready for pain!
he said he wouldn't be a GM again….FSG found the loophole and offered him this spot, which he will do much better. At this juncture he can improve the team.
I feel that his head is larger than his hands… I DONT TRUST HIM!!!!! 😉
Hi DK – I have a question – What do you think Brian Rust's future is with the Pens? Did the fact that Dubus did NOT mention him but mentioned Jake have any significance? Probably not – but it was noticeable.
Great shot today DK – I am happy Dubas is here and has freedom to get some stuff done. Because Fenway is so hands off he is in a good place for him to really put his mark on the franchise….now all we have to do is make a deep run in the next few years before Sid gets in his schooner and heads back to Nova Scotia.
