The maata/chiarot/Haag signings mean it isn’t a guarantee. I agree with the worst case of the rookie 9. best case is he and Mo play an 82 game Norris duo season. The reality is that the margin is super wide with Ed. It likely ends up with rookie 9+ depending on injuries and trade interest at the deadline for other D-men. I think Ed gets 30ish games this year mostly at the end of year, max 15 points at around 18min. TOI

I think the plan should be to bring him in in low doses to start. A full season is a bitch for young defensemen, I think it's usually better for them to get the partial dose before being swamped by it. Even Cale Makar played late in the playoffs before being thrown into a full season. However…. If he pulls equivalent results to Raymond then fuck it get him on the roster
