Lav literally took that dominant first place caps team we dreaded playing each year to a 6th place team in 3 years while destroying their offense and PP. Caps fan literally came into the sub last week and told us that we dont want Lav (but he would be happy if Lav coached a rival)
Even at best being a lateral move from GG is not appealing. Id rather risk it with Knob instead of retreads with no recent success because we dont know what we will get with Knob but we know what we will get with these bad retreads.
Also as someone else pointed out, the last 6 or 7 champs all had coaches who were in their 1st or second stint. And the only coach to win with multiple teams in the last ***50*** years was Scotty Bowman
