Les Devils du New Jersey remportent le match 7 du premier tour des séries éliminatoires de la LNH 2023 pour mettre fin à la saison des NY Rangers et passer au 2e tour pour affronter les Hurricanes de la Caroline. Les NJ Devils ont dominé cette victoire 4-0 et Akira Schmid a obtenu son deuxième jeu blanc des séries éliminatoires en seulement 5 matchs avec une fiche de 4-1. Les Devils ont eu des problèmes de pénalité tôt, mais ont été excellents sur le PK et ont réussi à marquer quelques buts devant Igor Shesterkin. Ondrej Palat a prouvé une fois de plus pourquoi il est un grand joueur des séries éliminatoires puisqu’il a réussi à voler la rondelle et à la passer à Michael Mcleod pour le premier but du match. Tomas Tatar a marqué sur une passe de John Marino pour donner aux Devils une avance de 2 buts. Dans le troisième, Trouba a donné un énorme coup à Timo Meier et il a quitté le match, mais est revenu. Schmid a été fantastique en réalisant 31 arrêts et Jack Hughes sur un 2 contre 1 a passé la rondelle à Haula pour le but et les 3 buts d’avance. Bratt a ajouté un but dans un filet vide et les Devils ont célébré leur première victoire en séries éliminatoires depuis longtemps. La saison des NY Rangers touche à sa fin et quels changements se produiront avec leur équipe. Devils should play Luke in the next series. Just look at how much Knies has contributed to the leafs and Luke is big and tough just like Knies and I believe ready. Severson can come out of the line up
It was great for the Devils to get this series win. No one can say that this team lacks experience now. New Jersey is playing with house money at this point. Just sit back and enjoy the ride, regardless of the outcome.

Glorious. Schmid was fantastic flashing the leather and the team was cohesive and fast. NY Rangers fell apart again. Proved for all time that Shesterkin can be majorly beaten. I thought the Trouba hit was intentionally to the head first and in my book he's a POS for life. Now time to analyze Canes more to get ready. With Boston out it's anyones game now.

I am so happy! Never in my life have I ever roooted for the devils but this year I wanted devils to be good and beat Rangers! LaFreniere and Kakko are busts, dislike the Rangers, glad they lost! Go devils vs Canes! Hughes is incredible!

I was there. It was a lot of fun, it was a big party and we all had a blast. GreT time to be a Devils fan and this is only the beginning. Carolina plays a very team structured game and it should be another tough series.
A unbelievable series the resilient of this team all year has been amazing and beating rangers is always sweet and its crazy to think we have a real shot to make a serious cup run look at all the teams left i am not scared honestly of any of them

I have to admit I used to regret Haula for Zacha trade . Erik just couldn’t put a puck in the net during the regular season . Wow , what a transformation for the playoffs ! Some guys seem to bloom under pressure and others , like , say Panarin , seem to disappear . Great overall team effort ! LGD !
