  1. Until ownership stops getting involved in hockey decisions and backs off from being too hands on no management here can succeed with or without confidence. The one constant in the last decade of mediocrity and shortcomings no matter the coach or gm has been ownership and their stubbornness to let the ppl they hire build the team as they see fit because of greed over playoff revenue. I believe it is what forced linden out because he saw what this team was and that it wasnt good enough and he wanted to rebuild but ownership greed got in the way. He's the real hindering block to any path forward. I think this management group can turn it around given their pedigrees but they need the autonomy to do so even if it means going against what ownership sees and for that to happen ownership needs to lay off and let ppl do their jobs

  2. Hi clay I’m probably going to wait until after this off-season to see how confident I am in the management team the Canucks have and also how we start next season

  3. Not entirely sure I have ever been confident in Canucks management, no matter who was in charge. 🤷‍♂️

  4. At first: Congrats to Team Canada and fans for winning the World Cup vs. Germany! As a German I can live quite good with the result.
Back to VAN: Hope Canucks can continue their good development and improvements (defense!) from the rest of this season.
But Rutherford and Allvin need some good & lucky decisions now to bring back competitiveness and a good atmosphere for team, fans, staff and management !
    Come on Canucks!

  5. It doesn't matter who the Canucks have as manager as long as we have these owners

  6. There doing fine there making changes as or when they can they have a battle with the cap it’s hard to make hockey trades these days but I think there being patient and patiently waiting is being smart . The base needs to get smart an let them do there jobs

  7. They are repeating the Benning mistakes so we are stuck in a spin cycle of mediocrity.

  8. I am going to continue to be patient with him because he certainly inherited a mess to solve.

  9. Im very confident in our lousy and incompetenet and juist plain dumd ownership. However im very confident they will continue too make the most useless and uninformed and just plain arrogant mistakes by hiring the WRONG people for the most importantg roles, but it should be expected as the owners are using the canucks as their lost leader and tax haven for their other adventures, The owners have never had the best interests of the franchise or the players or the city and most certainly not the FANS. as long as we have the current owners the canujcks will never come close to making a run for then cup or even making the playoffs its not in THEIR best intersts

  10. no no no !!!!!! Jim Rutherford or Patrik Allvin never have built Stanley cup team and never will.

  11. I have no faith at all in Alvin…when its all said and done they may be worst in team history. You got a coach who likes grit and grind and a gm who wants skill and finesse. They are already on two different pages. They had the softest team prior to trading schenn and not signing buroughs but its getting softer somehow! look at playoff teams today they are all big defense and crashing wingers but Alvin has it backwards trying to be like the leaf's all skill busts.

  12. Hi clay I think we can start judging them once some of the bad contacts they inherited from bennning starts to come off the books

  13. Not confident at all in Canucks management lol. They announced a re-tool and that told me all I need to know. It'll be years after this management group until they're competing again.

  14. imo, whatever moves they make it is bound to hurt the team in the short term. we may have to wait for a couple of years to properly judge his work.

  15. The Hronik deal concerns me it’s looking like Micheal Ferland 2,0 hope I’m wrong but 2 good picks for another player with a head injury confuses me
