Tony, learn the rules if you're gonna host a hockey podcast. Each team is allowed 6 skaters. Most of the time that translates to 5 and a goalie. It's a power play goal because Vegas had 6 skaters and Florida was only allowed 5. Whether or not one of those was a goalie is irrelevant. Also, Mark Stone's play was clearly below his shoulder height standing straight up. He's 6'3''. It's not even that close.

Vegas can beat Florida as long as they stay OUT of the box. Florida's entire game is the sandpaper crap at each stoppage. Their hitting isn't spectacular. Vegas is big enough to take it, they are bigger than Florida, faster and much better defensively. And watching how the guys get down low, Bob can't see the puck and Florida can't move them without crosschecking them. And the minor changes to the PP seems to be making a bit of a difference.

Tony, go watch the game again. Chris is correct, Hague was held by Staal, not by Duclair. As for the Hill kerfuffle, Hill had been hit 3 times!!! I loved that Hill threw a punch. King Henry defended Hill. That, of course,is a goalie defending a goalie. Stone's goal was borderline. Therefore, when so close, the ruling on the ice usually stands. But in this case, as Chris says, the rule says NORMAL height… The officials do not have the luxury of reviewing everything for hours and with scientific views.
Two power plays, Marchy's and Smith. The Panthers take their goalie out during a VGK power play. The lines even up, but the Panthers are still shorthanded without their goalie, so Smith's goal was a power play goal. So happy you mentioned Sean Burke. Wow!!! What he has done with the goalies all season is beyond awesome!
