the answer was a hell no then and a hell no now

  4. StereoMendo

this team was as close as we got to a contender, not sure the punch line here

  5. kingex11

Yes, but the post game shows on the radio were very entertaining.

    Narrator: “He wasn’t”

Probably not but he damn well did his best every night and made others around him better too. He also took on tough defensive assignments too. Seemed like a great dude too. Always doing interviews between periods. Man I miss this guy

same people want to ship out Matthews and go 10+ years without one again.

As with all headlines that pose a direct question… No.

“Yea Matthews is okay, but if we had 3 Tyler Bozaks we’d be real contenders” – r/leafs

Yet another prime example of a miscast player in Toronto.

He was a better 1C than Peter Holland lol

It ain’t much better these days.

Cant believe we have these talented stars but they are all greedy. They don’t really care to win if they are demanding so much (again).

Miscast as the number one center. Certainly not his fault. Reminds me of years ago when Larry Murphy was used as a top pair defenceman on a pretty weak Toronto team. Was definitely playing too high in the lineup but the Leafs had nobody back then. Was only a -1 over two years in Toronto so he could not have been that bad. Basically got booed out of town and went on to win some Cups and end up in the Hall of Fame.

Loved Bozak, but his relationship with Kessel was parasitic. Bozaks production went up when playing with Kessel, but it came at a price. Kessel always played better away from Bozak.

Somebody on Twitter explained it to me once.
