Anyone here that wouldn’t do this trade has no clue how painful 4 MORE years of OEL will be.
We’re essentially trading OEL for a first round pick and Demko for a lesser goalie who can turn things around with Ian Clarke, plus an improving young centre we can likely use, plus 7 million in additional cap… If you don’t think Allvin takes this and runs away you’re crazy.
This is one of those trades that’s so bad that it somehow hurts both teams. OEL being gone would be cool though
as a rebuilding team, we cannot and should not give away our first round pick again, this is disgusting, hell no.
