The only reason I said anything about it was I THOUGHT it was bad, and I was head-on-fire mad, and then I saw the replay and was like “…oh…that was just…unfortunate”, so I went to the panthers sub to say as much lol

Several people in the post I made about the hit called it dirty………
Eichel tripped and ended up with neither feet on the ice at the time of contact. There was nothing Tkachuk could do at that point, he had committed and Eichel had no ability to brace for the hit and control his body.
Makes the hit look way bigger than it really is but not a dirty hit by any means.

It was the other 59 minutes that were dirty

Literally half of the knights sub disagreed when it happened.

Eichel even said it was a good hit. He toe picked a bit when he was trying to break out of the zone and it put him in an awkward position. Tkachuk leveled him, he came back out and paid him back by setting up Marchessault.

Tkachuk is going to be the recipient of a nasty dirty hit one of these times. This hit was clean, but let’s not act like he’s not a Tom Wilson type.
timebomb011
i thought charging when i watched it initially, but it’s not, it’s clean.

the hit might have been clean but it’s the kind of thing that if that’s what hockey is about then you don’t need to wonder why more people aren’t into it. watching people get brutally injured isn’t most people’s cup of tea.

What is annoying is that tkachuk gets mobbed and ends up getting 10 minutes. I get that the knights aren’t going to wait for a replay to decide wether they should go after him lol. Just kind of silly that a big, but clean hit can result in the hitter getting a large penalty from the following scrum.

Marchessault blocked the line of view for both Tkachuk and Eichel as he was trying to move up from the Vegas zone.

Idk I completely disagree…. It was a clean hit looked like Eichel lost an edge
Just because the hit was « clean » doesn’t mean it wasn’t « nasty »!
[I dunno, this new footage that just came out makes it look pretty brutal…](https://www.reddit.com/r/facepalm/comments/142vv3h/woman_charge_at_moving_car/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=4&utm_content=share_button)

I don’t think people realize this.
