Dk, keep the DOC hype train going. Kid needs to be given a spot at 3lw with the legit chance to be a 2lw. He has the tools and size. I really think it comes down to sullys confidence in him and not his own confidence. It seems that younger players get harsher treatment when they take penalties or make a mistake in sullys system. Then they seem to hold back and not play to their full potential because if the make a mistake (which is human and will occassionally happen, even to sid) then they well get stapled to the bench. I just hope he is allow to spread those wings this season and not be under a sully microscope. Id hate for him to become a zar, laff, maybe even kap to a certain degree.

I'm pushing for him to get a shot opposite Zucker on the 2nd line if Rust is dealt and Zucker stays. Maybe even at LW if Rust is kept and Zucker is not resigned. Either way, it would be nice to see an actual body with offensive skill that can play more like a power forward for the top 6. But who knows what can happen to the roster between now and opening night that could make that not happen. At worst they could use him to assemble a very hard checking and grinding 3rd line that can also put up points if they can land a solid 3C this summer. It's been a few years since they had that.
