In Montreal, Konkaniemi (Carolina hurricanes) was booed just as much as deAngelo. So yes, this has happened multiple times, for different reasons.
In 2015, Patrick kane got hit from behind and broke his collarbone. They were playing the panthers at the united center. I can't remember the panthers player who hit kane but I do remember the hawks played the panthers like later that week and the panthers fans booed whoever it was who hit kane still can't think of the name
