  1. Yup cannot see how oilers trade for a goalie unless one falls off or gets injured. Oilers should look to revamp the bottom 6. And be nice if Holloway and Lavoie turn out to be players

  2. Some off these, ah, "breaking stories" (also known as fiction), you want to request that the person in question stop huffing glue as they're obviously on their last brain cell but it wouldn't be polite (it would be fact but not polite, they aren't mutually exclusive). Look, lets be candid, if Hellebuyck is out of Winnipeg he's probably headed to the USA to a nice, ZERO Tax and it's WARM year round location where he's close to invisible in public and he'll get paid a LOT. The only real connection between Carter Hart and Edmonton is that he and Stu were both born in the greater Edmonton area and played against each other for a block of time (and they're male). While I know that's "good enough for Tabloids in the UK" it's not good enough for Serevali or Friedman or anyone else with credibility. Would I like a him and Stu tandem? Sure. I'd love us to trade Ceci for Makar (and him being fully healthy) with Colorado retaining 1/2 and a 3rd party team taking another 1/4 of his 9 mil cap hit BUT there is a little thing called REALITY that gets in the way, who knew.

  3. I doubt the oilers get either goalie. but carter hart is from Sherwood park, which is right next to Edmonton.

  4. Hey Patrick thanks for the update not much out on the west coast for oiler info look forward to your updates. Keep the good info coming 😊😊

  5. Agree it's unlikely that we make a move at G before the deadline and likely not even then. Soup is too pricey for another team to take straight up so we'd have to 1) send out move value assets in the bargain and 2) be getting a VERY proven commodity back.

Besides, our weaknesses are at D and bottom 6 F.

  6. The focus has to be what’s in front of either goalie, there’s plenty of teams running with there 2 or 3 rd string goalie or heck in Vegas a 4 th string goalie. Not sure how Ken will be able to move Cambells contact so there’s more value in focusing on the D. Ya let the silly season start, only time anything is worth listening too is around the draft!

  7. I’m not sure why ppl are so glued into these rumours when none of them ever seem to materialize. Until a trade has been confirmed you’re left with speculation at best. Not worth the salt in grandmas stew.

  8. There no way oilers get in to the playoffs with soup and Holland was the one who sign him to that unreal contract time to bring Steve in as gm

  9. Oilers #1 focus HAS to be Defense, Defense, Defense!! Preferably BIG, punishing Defensemen, and a good 2-way Forward who can score 20-25 goals.

  10. Getting Hart or Hellebuyck would definitely be an upgrade.

If the Oilers get Hart, we would have a very good and young goalie tandem. If the Oilers get Hellebuyck, we would have an elite veteran starter and a very good and young backup.

To be honest though, if the Oilers got Hart or Hellebuyck I think it should be a 1A – 1B situation because both are just as good as Skinner.

That being said, I think more focus should be put on improving the defence. Campbell didn’t play great but the questionable defence didn’t do him any favours. Preferably defencemen that are big, physical, good defensively and can block shots.

  11. If we go for an available goalie i hope its hellebuyck. But they shoukd try to pry a top Dman out from another team.

The cap really isnt ideal for us.
