Look, I know everyone has their doubts about how much insight Chuck could bring to a broadcast panel at the NHL draft. I get that. But when you have the opportunity to bring in an analyst who is as exciting, dynamic, and captivating on camera as Chuck Fletcher is when he speaks, you simply have to take it.
Well, someone has to give wrong takes for the clicks so… Good hire!

As much as Chuck simply doesn’t have the makeup to be a successful GM despite his father’s legacy, he always struck me as a guy who was a bit in over his head but by no means a bad guy, similar to a guy like Ruben Amaro Jr when he was GM of the Phillies. Not really a fit for the role, and in Chuck’s case, certainly not a fit for the market. Part of me as a person is glad he’s landing on his feet, but selfishly, I’m just glad he’s not in some other team’s front office wreaking havoc.
Very nice of them to give the mentally disabled a spot on the panel.
