I'd be fine with poehling as the 4th line center as long as he's healthy. I feel like penguins will upgrade the 3c, and if necessary (after some time in the ahl), poulin can become a player who can be an injury replacement for the 3rd line. I agree with your take on DOC, although I believe sully/dubas will want to start him on the 3lw and replace zucker externally (although I would love to see DOC as 2lw as I think him and rust could really create problems for teams). I don't know what to make of Nylander at this point. I don't see him supplanting rust, so I guess 3rw. But is he really what you want as a third liner? I guess seeing more of all three players will answer those questions more clearly. But, I don't think them being a line is smart because none of them have shown the ability to carry a line yet. I could see DOC- new center-nylander to start the year as the 3rd line.

Sully didn't get much help from Hextall to play he wanted.He wants speed.Oconnor is not top 6 .He should be 3rd or 4th line this Zucker if not kept will be replaced by Bunting FA from Toronto

Some of what you describe between Sully and Dubas reminds me of the relationship between Coach Art Howe and GM Billy Beane as described in the movie "Moneyball."
I think Nylander also needs to be given a chance and some regular/consistent ice-time
