Great report Mike. A couple of comments:
1. Good on Athanasiou….he has talent and is among the fastest skaters in the league….the guy can fly!!! Nice to see him find a bit of stability and get paid!!!
2. Carter Hart to Habs….I can see it happening. Briere loves the Habs as a homegrown Quebec kid…played for the Habs too…I can see him making the trade for some young prospects.
3. DeBrincat is on thin ice here….let me explain: his best move is to find a team he wants to play for and sign a long-term contract. We've all seen players move to supposedly greener pastures only to have a bad season and then get bounced around from team to team. Bad move for DeBrincat. Get a team identified and go play o/w it could derail your career.
3. PLD…. let's see what unfolds here BUT the bar has been set with contracts of Suzuki and Caufield. PLD should NOT expect anything more. Habs are totally in control here and Kent Hughes will make any trade/deal work for the Habs benefit.

Just blatantly ignore yesterdays report that Brisson is working with the jets to facilitate and trade, and today’s report that Dubois is giving the jets a list of 5 or 6 teams to workout a sign + trade with.
You need to write a script and follow it…far too much repetition. Makes it hard to stick with ya. 😕

I would love to see the Devils trade Bratt for DeBrincat. It is a deal that could work out for both sides….the Devils also could sign and trade Blackwood to sweeten the deal.

Elliott Friedman mentioned that teams might be hesitant to trade for Carter Hart until he’s cleared for any role in the 2018 WJC scandal. Surprised that no one mentions it. Perhaps it’s taboo
So if you can win in the NHL it's okay to ask for things. If your not like Dcat than trade him to Phoenix. Isn't Phoenix a U.S. team. Exactly what Dcat wants. I say Keller for Dcat and picks. Make it happen. Two players who don't deserve a choice. Win first. 😂
Athanasiou has speed and speed kills. The Hawks need to be a very fast skating team if they want any success in the near future.
