Une autre offre recule alors que la vente des sénateurs s’éternise

Eh bien, les Sens n’ont toujours pas de nouveau propriétaire et il ne semble pas y avoir d’échéancier concret pour en nommer un. 1. They have obviously hit a snag that they aren't telling to anybody. There is no advantage to any of the parties involved to drag this thing out any longer so there's a problem.

  2. My hunch on why this is taking so long is that Bettman really, really wants Neko Sparks to win the bid, but because he’s such an obvious con artist, nobody is willing to sign off on it.

  3. Just move them to Quebec already, it's pretty clear this joke of a franchise needs to move to a Great Canadian City ™ that can actually support a hockey team.

  4. The NHL is probably already has an owner for the Sens but for some odd reason they're not going to announce it until after the Stanley Cup. Which is just another in a long-string of just head-scratching decisions from the league.

  5. a serious buyer wouldn't walk away for a delay in the sale. also, never trust any toronto billionnaire to be generous with you annyway, they are sharks.
the Melnyks kids are doing things the right way.

  6. I just dont buy the excuse that Dubrincat wants out because he is worried about the sale of the team. He will get paid, as will all the other players by the current, or new ownership, once the season starts up again. More likely, he doesnt want to play in Ottawa, or in Canada, and just wants to play in the US, where he is from.

  7. At this point I almost expect the Senators to move to Houston before the Coyotes do

  8. I blame Bettman and Daly they lost their minds when Reynolds showed interest and started milking this. Reynolds messed up by jumping in too soon. He should have stayed in the kingmaker position. Apostopoulos, never trusted him. He bids billions on the Washington Commanders then he bids on the Sens. No thanks. Sparks has gotten too messy. I applaud the mission but too messy. All this makes me really think that the Kimels or Andlauer was always the preferred but the money didn't match. Now Bettman and Daly are looking to save face by having the Kimels and Andlauer more people to keep the price over a billion. I don't blame the Melynk sisters. I blame GSP, Bettman, Daly, and maybe the board.

  9. Like everything else in Ottawa it is just pure incompetence pretending it knows its arse hole from a hole in the wall.

  10. This has turned into a mess and an embarrassing soap opera. The team isn't worth $1B and continuing to lose money in Kanata is a problem. This is/was suppose to be a land development deal, until that's solved investors are realizing this isn't worth the investment.

  11. The Sens need to get their act together soon so they don't scare off potential trade targets and UFAs. The timing of this sale is critical. As for their arena situation, their only option is to get a new one because being based in Kanata, which is on the outer edge of Ottawa, isn't gonna work no matter how nice the venue is.

  12. Debrincat would be a good fit in Montreal. Hopefully, Kent Hughes can pull off another trade deal like they did for Dach.

  13. I think if Quebec City is so desperate to have an NHL team, an investment group from the area should buy the Senators & move them to Quebec City. It makes sense in my view because the NHL would not have to realign the divisions in the process & the Videotron Centre is an upgrade from Canadian Tire Center in terms of an arena. This option is far easier for Quebec City to get a team than trying to convince the Coyotes to move (they are moving to Houston if they relocate) or trying to get an expansion team.

  14. This reeks of Bettman and NHL owners wanting someone is particular but they don't have the highest bid.

Likely the New York group so Bettman cna have his wet dream fo moving a Canadian team to the US.

  15. Praying that they just accept the Andlauer bid and move on, this is getting silly now.

  16. I didn't want this bid so it's not that big of a deal to me. I will be happy with either Andlauer or the Kimels so it gives them a better shot of getting the team with Neko Sparks somehow still in the bidding wars.

  17. The sheer amount of greed and incompotence from Ottawa Ownership is hilarious. They think the Senators is worth as much as the original six. I hope their arrogance gets punished

  18. It’s almost like they are doing it intentionally. Nobody is going to want to play for Ottawa. We will get an owner that has no money to spend. Between the team selling and debrincat. Let’s get this stuff done already.

  19. The NHL is dragging it out likely trying to get the bidders to up each other and people getting sick of it. This is just one more example of the NHL looking like amateur's compared to the other pro leagues.

  20. If the sens had as many wins as it took days to find a new owner this process wouldn’t be seen as a concern at all

  21. On one hand I'm happy the bid with Kypreos is out.

On the other, GSP has made this process into an enormous joke and they've cost the Melnyks hundreds of millions of dollars. That law firm should never be involved in a sports franchise sale again.
