@Panthers de la Floride

1. What the stats will never show is that my strategy of writing off the Panthers after game 2 and refusing to watch game 3 resulted in a clutch OT win. Don't believe me? The one moment I checked up on the game Duclair goes to the box and Vegas scores. I immediately turned the game off again and the rest is history.

  2. Series doesn’t need to be changed, it was over before it even started.

  3. I am for the Panthers, but let’s call a spade a spade! The Panthers have been outplayed in all 3 games! The writing is on the WALL!

  4. I've been following this team since they played in Downtown Miami and this bunch is one of the most resilient and grittiest group I've ever seen. Keep the foot on the gas boys and don't give up. I wouldn't bet against them just yet. Go Panthers 🐅🐯🏆

  5. Henrik said it best on the broadcast. On defense the Panthers need to stop playing the puck and just play the skaters. Cause right now if Bob can see it he will stop it.

  6. I'm a neutral fan and was very happy Florida won, 3-0 would've been a huge letdown.

  7. Since the Bruins series teams could not cope with the extra attacker of the Panthers. When it's 6 to 5 advantage with empty net for Panthers they score. And score.

  8. I completely disagree with this take a few bounces and Vegas would easily have won. I see Vegas closing this out in the next two games😊

  9. Barkov actually took a shot on goal instead of passing. We're making progress! I'm a fan but jeez, come on.

  10. Florida dominated the first period. They were relentless. If they can keep playing like that consistently and stay out of the damn box they can beat the Knights and take the cup

  11. As a hockey fan of 50+ years in reference to Stanley Cup finals, it was my impression that to be penalized, the infraction tolerance levels were generally set at a higher threshold than the regular season. That's historically what has occurred. In other words, what gets called in the regular season will not necessarily be punished in the post season. So why then all the soft calls last night? The most frustrating thing about this league is the inconsistency of what's deemed an infraction. And this discretionary variability, creates a gaping hole for the opportunity for corruption in reference to influence of outcome. And then follows the inevitable rabbit hole of conspiracy argument. Interesting. The only clear, undisputed outcome bias that the league has is a preference for maximizing series length, which will obviously, optimize revenue potential.
But the low sensitivity threshold for penalization in post season matches is polar opposite to historical biases.

  12. I think the Panthers play series like this against opponents like this on purpose, although its unconcious. They don't realize they're doing it.

  13. Also game 4 is going to be even tighter I think, maybe even another multiple overtime game.

  14. Bob for sure stood on his head. But with all the cup winners in that Vegas locker room, I don’t think this rattled them at all. Nobody was expecting a sweep.

  15. Historically, the best way to circumvent the influence of a playoff goalie on a heater, is to constantly shoot from the blue line through traffic. Nine times out of ten it won't reach the net, but 10% of the time, it will. And with the high likelihood of deflections and obstruction of visual field, probability of scoring is greatly improved as opposed to a 100 mph shot that the netminder has zero visual field interference.
Focusing more on hockey and less on hitting, coupled with more distance attempts, is probably the best way that the Panthers can give themselves an opportunity to win the series. I hope they can pull this off cuz, outside of Nevada, in long running NHL franchise markets, LV is strongly disliked.
But the bottom line is, that this victory means nothing if Fla can't win on Saturday. Vegas up 3-1 would be a hill too high for even the most resilient team to climb. The Panthers are extremely tough and don't ever quit, but winning 3 games in a row against the same opponent is almost impossible.
I'm not a Florida fan and live 3000 miles away in another country. But I'm cheering for Maurice, Tkachuk, Bennet, Montour, Verhaeghe, and Bobrovsky to pull off the miracle of win to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise. From around the continent and here in Vancouver Canada, Go Cats!!

  16. Vegas should have kept on hitting and hitting, they should have NEVER let Tkachuk play without HITTING him at ever chance, They gave him a free pass and they lost ! Hit Tkachuk at ever opportunity !!!

  17. People who were “worried” about florida after game 2 crack me up 😂 Aren’t they the same team that one the first round after loosing games 1,2, and 3? Or was that just a nightmare I had?

  18. you gotta be honest with yourself; some of those calls were pretty weak… things that they were calling were let go the last 3 series!! that Forsling tripping call at the end of the third was especially horrible… once again, the league should be ashamed of itself for that kind of performance. If the refs had to answer to the media or the fans , i doubt we would be seeing these kind of calls. the call that resulted in the 4-on-3 was pretty weak as well

  19. I swear Barkov is saying "go to Bob, go to Bob" after the OT goal. The entire team rushed him after that.

  20. It's anyone's game but my money is still on the Knights. The best Florida has done is an OT win. Games 1 and 2 Vegas dominated. You never know Florida could come back with vengeance in Game 4 but still I say Knights in 5/6.

  21. Lucky puck rebound and you guys are saying it’s a seria haha Vegas is clearly better and will close this series in 5

  22. Vegas will bounce back like they have all season and if they can finish just a chance or two more than they did in this game we’ll be headed back to Vegas 3-1 not tied. I think it’s still Vegas in 5 or 6 because they really are the better team. If Bob just dominates and takes over the series than obviously that changes things but Bob got kinda lucky on some of Vegas’ shots too so we will see for sure

  23. As a Lightning fan watching the finals and not being in them after 3 straight years seems odd but, I'm happy that the winner will hoist for the first time. I'm a die hard Lightning fan and I'm sorry Panthers, I won't be upset if you win because we OWN the state of Florida when it comes Lord Stanley but, I'm pulling for the Golden Knights. Why? I don't root for ANYONE south of the Skyway Bridge.

  24. Not a brand new series but I hear ya. Good review I feel Vegas has been sending messages even in the loss. Feel like I’m watching the leafs fight Florida when I see Florida fighting Vegas. They’re just more physical. Stay tuned for tomorrow night eh???

  25. some penalty calls were to me trivial calls making it look like either a rookie ref or the refs bet on Vegas. I'd appreciate new ref for games 4 5 6 and possibly 7. really you calling @1:12 a trip? come on.
