What are you fools talking about😆😆😆 michkov outplayed Bédard at the under 18 and he was 4 months younger 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂ you’d have to be simple to think that michkov would even be available at number 5. Anaheim doesn’t have a problem drafting talented players. What michkov has done is more impressive than what Bédard did this year. If you think michkov will be available at 5th , than maybe hockey isn’t for you, if you think michkov won’t break the top 10, than there’s good chance your parents are cousins🤦♂
What would be the issue in buying out his contract after 1 or 2 seasons?
He's a red wing. If he some how falls. There no way that he fall past caps and wing I would bet on it
Michkov is a Russian with more than the average amount of Russian baggage.
Pass on this toxic slug, and take almost any CHL kid with strong character and work ethic.
The idea that Michkov falling out of the top 5 is ridiculous. The Sharks desperately need an elite goal scorer. They had 3 guys with 20+ goals after trading Meir. 1 of them was Karlsson who will undoubtedly regress. They have a goal scoring problem. They were 25th in GF and that includes 31 goals from Meir. Subtract that and they are tied for last with Chicago. The Sharks are 2-3 years from competing at a minimum. So by the time they are about to be competitive he will come over. This is a no brainer.
No way in hell he makes it past Detroit. We will probably move up to take him tbh
Who is going to take a Russian in first round at all? They would probably have to kidnap him and his entire family or take out Putin and his terrorist cabal totally.

If Fantilli decides he doesn’t wanna be drafted this year and play another year in Michigan than michkov should go 3rd based off skill but jackets clearly rushing things so they won’t pick him, can see sharks picking him

As a Canucks fan… my God don't give me such hope! I would love to steal draft Michkov at 11th! He's going to to be one of the best damn players in this draft, easy.
There is no way he gets by the Capitals. Also, Ovi will get him out that KHL deal. And if he starts to slide the Wild have a ton of assets to trade up to get him.
With the 3 years, you're saying he doesn't get injured, or even want to be in the NHL.
IF he falls into Vancouver's lap AND they don't run up to get him… I truly have to check my alliance… but he's definitely not getting past top 7
Can't wait to see the tears flowing when the Hawks trade all their surplus draft capital and take on a bad contract, and take Michkov.
If he falls to 6 then he will be offered to the Hawks for Bedard. But Arizona would also give no 12 and 24 and 25 unconditional 1st round picks. Worth it?.
I would LOVE for him to fall to the Wings at nine !!! He’s EXACTLY what they need…even if they have to wait a couple years.
The story about his Father is wild. Might be the biggest reason for dropping. For me (club de hockey fan) if available I’m running up to that podium to draft him.

Caufield dropped to 15th and he clearly is in the top 10 best players in that draft class due to his size.
Right now I think GMs have their spies out trying to figure out who will pick Mish and who will pick Will Smith early if anyone is.

I cannot see Michkov getting past #8 or #9 Washington or Detroit. If he is still on the board at 13, I will be begging Kevyn Adams to call his name. Imagine the Sabres core in three years time, then add Michkov to the team.
