  1. Please watch the video before saying I am making stuff up lol. You can't comment saying I said something I didn't say. Thanks.

  2. Heart has had a tough go as of late. He will bounce back on a new team but his price tag is high.

  3. I have no doubt that the Leafs are looking for a potential upgrade from Sammy. If they can't land a big fish, they'll re-up Sammy. They have to get some defense either way.

  4. Concussions and knee injuries, hard pass. We already have that in Murray

  5. Me personaly would run with Samsonov & Woll, you can get Sammy signed to a 3 year deal at 4 million, Woll only makes 762,000 i believe, Murray is out of here 1 way or another, Woll will eventualy be the number 1 in Toronto in 2 to 3 years.I like the way Woll plays, so far he has played good,Sammy was working on a shut out the game he got injured, he beat Vaseleski that says alot right there, if Matthews & Marner bothered showing up against Florida we would have beat them.

  6. I don’t really see why the price tag would be that high though…
I think back to trades like Anderson from Anaheim to the Leafs for a 1st round pick

I don’t see Philly landing multiple picks and multiple prospects for him but who really knows

  7. Other than the core 4 this is the worst passing team in the NHL. The D core can barely clear their zone let alone make plays.

  8. Every hockey journalist in the Toronto media has the leafs as a team interested in every player on the trade block. Unless its Darren Dreger or Bob McKenzie, take it with a grain of salt.

  9. Run with samsonov and woll next season and at the trade deadline if they need a goalie then well get one until then sit tight

  10. Hart is going to end up like Raycroft. Lot of promise and hype that didnt pan out.

If leafs are going to make a trade fpr a tender. It needs to be for a bonified proven number 1.

  11. I dont really understand some of these rumors, and why Toronto is evening considering some of these goalies (potentially, because they are just rumors). Im not convinced Hart is a better goalie than Samsonov. If we can sign Sammy, and we have Woll, who looks tremendously promising, why is there this sudden need to look at goalies like Hart?

  12. Don’t think Hart makes sense when we have other holes to fill unless they are not bringing back Samsonov

  13. Wall needs his shot and proved it in the playoffs. We don't need another young goalie between the pipes, we already have one.

  14. During a rebuild in Philly why would they trade away a good goalie instead of building around him? I hope the Buds stay away from a Philly reject if that's what he turns out to be. They don't need anyone from a crappy team.

  15. Unless there is something we don't know (like a bad Samsonov injury), the Leafs trading for Hart would be colossally stupid, in my opinion. Why give up prime assets for a young goaltender when you have TWO strong, young goaltenders in your system? Samsonov had a great year and he is an RFA. He doesn't have a whole lot of leverage, so I can't imagine him fleecing the Leafs on a deal. Hell, you can even bridge the fucker for a reasonable cap hit per season. Woll is also looking like he can become a starter in the coming years. I'd MUCH rather take a chance on Woll than trade for Hart, who while a fine goaltender, has not exactly shown that he can be consistent.

If the Leafs were to trade for a goaltender (although again, I don't see why they would considering who they have under contract or RFA status already), it would be for a more mature and "proven" player, like Gibson, because the Leafs are a playoff team (perennial losers, sure, but a playoff team).

The Leafs don't have a hell of a lot in terms of picks and prospects, and they have arguably greater holes to fill. Trying to get Hart would be a waste of time and assets.

  16. @Andrew Piluk Hockey
Samsonov is RFA. He was available because the Caps didn't qualify him so he was UFA last year however that still returns him to RFA status because he had RFA time left(this what I have heard through insiders, not that I have read the handbook lol). He had a good year with the leafs but he is no different than Jack Campbell a decent backup which Samsonov is can have really good regular season with a really good team like the leafs and people jump and shout to keep and pay the man(not a good idea ala Jack Campbell). His style is all over the place and in playoffs will get picked apart case in point Florida. The leafs need a true starter i.e. Hellybuck and or maybe Cart Hart, although I haven't watched Hart play enough to know if he is ready to be a starter in TO. I do see a 60/40 split with Hart(60) Woll(40) being a very soild play. 60% of the games is almost the max you want to play a starter during season to not burn he out.

  17. Typical TO hype, Leafs have no cap room but somehow going for Hart, Helleybuyck.. these are not 2 million a year goalies

  18. You are correct young man, the leafs should explore every option regarding potentially available goalies

  19. Woll is the first Leafs goalie prospect I've liked in a long time. He's earned a backup role next year, especially at his cap hit. He was steady in the playoffs. Samsonov was great last year but was hot and cold in the playoffs. Plus, he's oft-injured. One of Dubas' flaws in building this team was goaltending. IMO, if you can go out and get a bona fide No. 1, you do it. I'd be in on Hellebuyck, not Hart.

  20. Samsonov is an rfa so if the leafs want him he will be back he can't shop around the league

  21. Andrew, don’t overthink internet trolls. Some people are dumber than you can imagine. Keep up the good work but please stop referring to your trolls because it’s slowing your growth.

  22. Flyers fan here, I've enjoyed your podcast for years now.

I think the deal coming back to Philly has to start with William Nylander and that isn't enough to get it done. You do not trade Carter Hart.

  23. I would rather see Hellebuyck on the leafs and have Woll as the backup and future goalie

  24. Hart, no thanks, rather gamble on Woll becoming a true number one.

  25. Not Hart. The Leafs need to trade Marner to the Jets for Hellybuyck. Lucic just said today he would like to sign with the Leafs on July 1st. Pick him up at league minimum, Hellybuyck & Lucic + Schenn, Acciari, McCabe. Now you've got a good looking playoff roster with a goal tender that can carry a team. Dubas' top heavy scheme was a bust, so Treliving will want to build from the back end out. Imo
