I feel like a big factor for why this team has been so good every season is because the OGs on the team that played in 2018 set a high bar for themselves and have expected to make it back every year. You know they want this W so bad tonight

The writer in me loves this so far. They win tonight, it’ll be a perfect close to an arc. And with some of the misfits still here, it feels like it has a gravity to it, like a continuity with 2018 (unlike decades-long droughts). Overall, it feels way more like a story than anything I’ve felt in sports, even more than Season 1.
All great stories go through some setback, and losing the Cup in Season 1 was just that.
I’m not saying the Knights are sad and boohoo, cause I know this fandom has it great: four WCF appearances in six years. But, more than any other, this team’s season feels like a story.

Same, gonna buy the same koozie I bought game 1 from Washington when we won. It came with a beer and the koozie…$34.00…let’s see how much it is today lol
