Congratulations to VGK’s fans for their first Stanley Cup ever. Not only they dominated the whole series, they broke the record for the most goals scored by a team in a final game.
Vegas earned this and deserved this. Not a fan of either team but the crease crashing and garbage goals, lack of whistles and just diving into the net was ridiculous. At least 2, if not 3 of those Vegas goals were ridiculous. Wouldn't have mattered though thankfully as Vegas was just the better team in EVERY respect and the Panthers didn't show up for the finals like they did in '96. They looked gassed and had nothing left in the tank from Game 1 of this series. Moving forward the NHL needs clear, consistent and coherent blue area rules that aren't selectively enforced, or completely ignored depending what lord Gary wants. If the crease no longer exists then eliminate the blue paint ala how it used to be up until the mid 80s. Anyhow congrats to Las Vegas sports fans, redemption for 2018.
I guess Florida shouldn't have touched the eastern conference trophy 😂 But anyway this my first time watching the NHL season and Stanley cup. What a great end can't wait for next season!!!!
I know Marchessault was great the whole series but Hill should be considered as their best player in finals and also the playoffs. He was really phenomenal. I think the one game that they lost was the reason Hill couldn’t win the FMVP. Panthers were lucky for winning that one game.
Man what a journey! To the first game with all the victims names on the ice from Oct 1st shooting, drumming in front of thousands knight in and knight out, some heartbreaks from up 1-0 caps, up 3-1 on sharks, game 7 losses…WE FINALLY DID IT!!! #LordStanleyIsHere#GoKnightsGo

VGK’s dominance was obviously strong through the whole season. They were the only team that I was sure they would win after my Avalanche got eliminated. Just like my Nuggets in playoffs, they were the best team among other NHL teams(except my Avalanche), and they deserved Stanley Cup. Congrats.
