I'd say it was a good season for DeBoer. Problem is we didn't give him a good defense to work with. It was a pleasure tuning in everyday Dane.

I think Dallas had a very successful season. At the beginning of the year if you were to tell me Dallas will finish 2nd in the Central with 108 points and lose in 6 in the Western Conference Finals i would've been ecstatic
Proud of the Stars and how they did this season! Hoping they improve the defense next season to help Heiskanen out. I’ve enjoyed listening to your podcast this year as a newer Stars fan! Great season for sure. Everyone was worried about the defense at the beginning of the year – which was ultimately what couldn’t bring the boys over the hump.
I think everyone ( myself included ) got enamored with the huge surge in offense, and wanted more. We got greedy and should have focused on the blue line.
To me, figuring out the pieces for the blue line this summer needs to be the top priority.
I know it’s a broken record, but truly… Suter has to know that his body can’t hold up for the playoffs anymore. He was very impressive against the Wild. By the time he played against Vegas, he was making errors he hadn’t made all season.
Suter retires – cut the loss with Marchment before it gets real bad – move Stankoven up for cap for friendly talent and pick up a Shayne Gostisbehere type guy to fill out the defense.
It's hard to say given how fresh the Game 6 loss is.
I'm leaning toward "moderate". Not making it to the Stanley Cup Final is going to sting for a bit.
Vegas was just better in this series. The young talent is on the way for the STARS so this team should be a strong contender for the Stanley Cup for many years to come.
Honestly I think Shannon said it the best we are a cup Contender that just seems like we can't get over the hump for the past couple years we've gotten close but a lot of the times we've never been able to get it done when we desperately need to

I'm torn. The competitor inside of me has always been, if you're not first you're last. I say this because look at the season Montreal had in 2021, making it to the cup and then being an absolute shit show of a team the next season. I know we won't do that but you literally never know. Teams underperform all the time. The small part of humility in me says ok it was a good regular season. It's hard to be happy about the regular season when the playoffs was just so bad. Otter was so bad. 10-9, .895, 3.06 GAA. Hard to be happy about that.
Robo can't be another McDavid in the league. Great regular season and falling off in points in the playoffs. Robo also is a product of how good his linemates are. Robo is not going to win a foot race, he's not winning many puck battles. That's why Robo NEEDS Pavs and Hintz. They get into the dirty areas and win those puck battles and Robo lurks in high scoring areas. Also, over half of Robo's points came on the PP. He's a one trick pony and he got exposed in the playoffs. That's why Hintz is the best Dallas Stars forward, not Robo. Hintz does everything Robo does and all the things he doesn't. Kills penalties, uses his size, can fucking fly down the ice, great defense.

if we had Stephen Johns we would have skated the cup this year.
We are missing that BIG lock down D man to play alongside Miro.
I’m not sold on Robertson. Sure he had a record breaking season statistically but watching him play does not reflect the stat sheet. He seems to be mediocre in most aspects of the sport and looked like he couldn’t keep up in the playoffs. Scoresheet can only get you so far. Look at McDumbass for oilers.
That game 2 turnover by suter was the turning point in the vegas series, they had that game in the bag and that would energized the team for sure going back home w the split. Also with otter it was feast or famine, looking back I would have played wedgewood after each otter victory lol
