Fields better be a top 10 qb this year or I would say take a chance trading both first round picks for someone else cause it’s time for the bears to be a good offense. They got at least 2 good receivers now and 2 good tight ends they have 3 good running backs and 2 good tackles and 2 good guards and a center we just don’t know if the bears have a good quarterback yet
Darn based on a few practices with no pads and no real pass rush, this guy determined the pass rush needs help

I believe the ota's are done so you can kinda see what you got in the draft, free agency , & udfa's! Every year they give us reasons for older & veteran guys absence during otas whether it be injury or otherwise & all the younger guys are participating! Never read too much into this bc it is intentional

Frankly, what does Mark Grote actually know about any of this? He's much like a fan with a mouthpiece.
Food for thought, last season someone dropped DJ and I lucked up and got him off waviers early last season and I remember starting him a lot the rest of the season. So naturally I paid a little extra attention to him and honestly he’s legit. He took advantage of his opportunities bc there weren’t that many. There’s nothing worse than having a great fantasy wr and the qb of their team sucks. When he did score though, it came in bunches. He wasn’t a PPR guy. He was a 12/14 pts a touchdown. He plays bigger than his size. He has “Sum” Steve Smith in him, but more explosive. If Getsy would ever stop calling up plays for aaron iuwasca darkness rodgers and use his big brains to scheme up actual multiple open wrs and TE’s instead just the one guy that he wants Justin to throw to and makes all the casuals so mad when he misses that one guy bc their too small minded to think maybe there could’ve been someone open sooner or even multiple players open quicker. If Getsy would use his big brains to get Justin better instead of criticism which the Chicago media latches on as if Getsy has had some amazing career. The guy was the qb coach of prime/late aaron rodgers. At that point there’s no coaching aaron rodgers. He’s coaching and you’re riding coattails. Is it really a coincidence that he and Nathaniel Hackett had the worst 2 offenses in the NFL. Getsy only being saved by a “tank job” excuse and by qb runs, on plays that he called passes on. But Getsy gets the credit. How silly is that. Lol enough about Getsy though. So basically DJ Moore is a STUD and he’s going to do work. The question is how much work will he get. I’m hoping he gets time and a half O.T!!! BEARDOWN!!!

They need veteran depth at the OL positions – both guard and tackle. Also need to get a defensive end. After that, depth at safety (Deandre Houston – former Bear) position who can play special teams would be helpful. Rest is coaching and repetition. They have to get Mooney/Claypool back and practicing quickly. If Claypool doesn't come around then Tyler Scott should get a chance. They have enough money to sign Ngakoue for a couple of years ($15mil) and make him just a specialist pass rusher. There will still be money left to make a mid-season move.
Don't read too far into their analysis. Grote's job is to make news when little exists – like in boring minicamp.
The D-line can’t be evaluated yet you can’t go all out against your QB like you can an opponent, you hit JF low or out of control and ACL him you Cut! This is the 1 of 2 things you just can’t look at with a critical eye yet! Just get as much talent as you can , and adjust on the fly. Just looking for strength and technique right now! BEAR DOWN!
The secondary is better than you guys think it is!!! J. Johnson is edged in stone as the starter.
T .Smith, M .Ojemudia, J Jones & T. Stevenson are all going to make the team. I know J Jones wants his position back & he is here to fight for it. T. Smith ( Smitty) is a hitter I hope he get healthy soon, Vic Fangio hand picked (M. Ojemudia) out of college. This guy had a new regime that took over in Denver while Ojemudia was injured. He hit the wire & We got lucky with this pick up. So T. Stevenson will have his hands full with the competition once the pads come on!!
