idk man, maybe at least play up to 60% of your contract for like 10 games.
Everyone else on the team was able to string together some good games in the last 2 years.

Its not coaching, or who the GM is. Injuries have taken their toll to the point where he’s not even close to being worth his contract.

I wish OEL the best. He’s still a reliable #4, just can’t be paying #1 money for the quality of play he was delivering. Just a bad situation all around, I had hoped he’d turn around once out of Arizona, but it’s clear his injuries have taken a toll and he doesn’t have that top pairing defender skill anymore.
If we had 2016 OEL, we wouldn’t be in this timeline. He was not good and barely acceptable as a top 4. His stats were closer to a 5th or 6th defenceman.
He played like shit most of the time. Sure there was turnover up top but most players on the team at least had a period of inspired play.

Kevin, buddy, Vancouver was a dumpster fire for sure but your client is on what was widely regarded as the worst contract in the NHL, miraculously forced a trade to one of only two teams he said he would go to and then played ***subpar hockey at best the entire time***. NCAA free agents looked better than he did in the last days of season. Worst trade in Canucks history has been changed from the Neely trade to the OEL deal.
He was good year 1 healthy, and horrendous year 2 playing injured. Wish we tested it 1 more year but I trust this management group.
