Look at every team in the league they all hire alumni in their front office
I said it before I’ll say it again. Chuck Fletcher was one of the worst GMs the NHL has ever seen and he had no ties to the Flyers before he came here. There’s nothing inherently wrong with hiring guys who just so happened to play for the Flyers during their career. In fact, the franchise has historically has had more success with former Flyers making the hockey decisions than without them since Bobby Clarke took over after he retired from playing.
I dont mind, everybody crying about an outsider, what did Chuck do? Flyers is just a homegrown team, thats it.
Leclair won a Cup with Habs in 93 him and Sharp where on winning teams but will it pay off in their new roles who knows . Briere can't win every trade see how the team is in 3 seasons that make Judgements on how Briere is doing as a GM .
This is the exact path I did not want to see this organization go. This is same ole Flyers. Only trading the 70/80’s players for 90/00’s. I don’t expect anything different from this organization. So disappointed.

Flecther was the biggest screw up we ever had! I am excited about talented people running things! I don't care where they come from!

Can't be any worse than what we've been getting with "experienced" personnel………if that's what you can call what we had.
