I don't think his problem was having trouble transitioning from the KHL to the NHL. The kid was getting a point every 2 games at 15 years old in the KHL. That's incredible.
I think the problem was the Rangers. The one thing consistent with all of New York's top draft picks is that they all vastly underperformed. At some point, you gotta start blaming the organization and not the young players. Montreal had the exact same problem under Bergevin and his coaches. Even the simple change of Richardson from Ducharme unlocked Cole Caufield during that Vegas series, and he was forced to wait for St. Louis to do the same.
I feel bad for Kakko and Lafrenière. New York goes out and gets guys like Vincent Trochek and now Kane, and they are basically never giving their young players an opportunity to blossom. If they had, these players might have been good enough to fill in those top roster spots instead of guys like Jimmy Vesey.
Bold prediction (even though I don't think it's that bold): Kravtsov will have a breakout season in Vancouver. I'd play him on the top line in place of Beauvillier and give him the rest of the season to figure it out.

Kravstov never wanted to be on the Rangers , he used the Rangers to keep in tune, his play was a total disaster and if you think i am wrong watch his statistics playing on another team because i now he has potential.
Rangers needed cap room for Kane but the bug question is why they didn't include him in the trade with the Blackhawks for Kane. Whatever the reason, thanks Chicago. He's not going to the khl with the war and after being reunited with Podkolzin. Potentially the biggest steal of the deadline.
