Well at least it’s off the back of 42 goals so there should be a market at least. That contract would be attractive to competitive teams and if the Jets hold back 50% that’s a 3M dollar 40 goal scorer who up until last season was the only player along with Crosby and McDavid as being a ppg player over the previous 6 seasons.

Sabres have a ton of prospects, young players on roster and cap space. 1 or 2 guys like this would be huge for them to take the next step.

Talent wise I think he’d be a great fit for my Avs. But the guy just seems like a toxic locker room turd so I’m not sure I want him anywhere around Denver. Could say the same thing about Dubois and Wheeler as well.
Maybe the Avs have enough veteran leadership to make it work. But Sakic doesn’t usually go for guys who aren’t good fits in the locker room just for the sake of talent.
