This is such a breath of fresh air after Gallant. I think this team will benefit from Peters advanced strategy and ability to hold this team accountable to play the game a certain way.

It is what it is. I've been a die hard Rangers fan for 40 years. A new coach or a traded player won't change my love for this team. For those that are playing Monday morning quarterback, chill out. Just love this team! Laviolette is one of the best coaches in the league.
I don't think Laviolette is the solution. BUT, as they say, we'll see.

No knock on Lavio;ette but the Rangers should have given Messier a chance.
He's obviously a proven winner over and over again and would have the players' respect.
Messier is the story of ultimate success in New York. But for now, they've decided to con-

Laviolette has consistently demonstrated a propensity for preferring the aged veteran over the developing youngster, even to the point of having young talent beg for a ticket on the first bus out of Washington. Let's hope he breaks that tradition still uncertain if it's best coach solution. But let's see and get behind him and staff.
not sure why everyone is so excited to dunk on this guy. seems like rangers fans need to be upset by nature
i’m definitely cautious about “words vs actions” after Gallant, but Laviolette made some very encouraging points. the only way to see what he’s capable of with this group is WHEN THEY PLAY.

The KEY moment for me in this presser…..'you prepared yourself the whole year to play playoff hockey'. That's why I wanted Laviolette here. IMO that's a core belief that the best head coaches share and embrace. IMO it's the reason Gallant failed last season.

wasn't super thrilled with this pick, but the fact he returns to the team he played his only games in the NHL with is pretty cool and obviously you don't need any extra motivation to win a Stanley Cup if you play/coach in the NHL but it does mean something to him on a personal level you can tell and he said it himself so looking forward to the season. i will need to see it to believe this team can be better than they were or go further than 2022 playoffs
