Biggest need for the wings is to nail a star #1 line player(s) with those 1sts to speed up the rebuild. Overpaying the likes of a 5’7 debrincat is not the answer
Watched Tampa for years and gave up watching the Panthers last season to return to watching the Wings. Big mistake! Still looking for my teams to watch next season. Enough of the patience with any GM's plan for patience and draft picks.
Compher is not an option at 2C. his reg season numbers were inflated and he got crushed in the playoffs
Maata is a very solid 2nd pair guy. Very good defensively. Walman just had a tremendous breakout season. He and MO were a great pairing. Edvinsson and Johansson are both knocking on the door. Both could make the team out of camp. And he was right about Chariot, very underwhelming. Wings need depth D on the right side. Could easily be managed through free agency. Then they're very young up front. Expect Raymond, Berggren and Soderblom to be even better going forward. And then a guy we're all excited about is Marco Kasper. Plus expect a few players to come from trades and FA. Nor bringing back Erne, Suter, Chiasson , etc. Is a good sign Stevie has plans to make room for more talented players.
