Yeah, having the Wranglers in town gives the Flames a lot of flexibility if they take the hybrid approach.

That makes sense because I don’t think there is a market for Markstrom and not much of one for Vladar. That could change by the trade deadline if all our goalie post good numbers this year – Flames could deal from a position of strength for a change.

Marky was a huge disappointment last season. Vladar never capitalized on the door Marky left open. Wolf looked the most promising but small nhl sample size

If Wolf is with the Flames, he needs to be playing 25+ games. I am not certain he’s ready for that. He had a great game against San Jose, but he also showed that he was human in the AHL playoffs.

I’d honestly keep Marky and Vladar still, let them fight for the starting job. Hopefully they both bounce back, and we can move one next summer at a higher value.

Markstrom will bounce back post Darryl.

The hybrid approach is an interesting suggestion by Pat, I’d be down for that.

Wolf doesn’t need to clear waivers so unless Flames get an above market value for Vladar this off season you keep all 3 goalies in the organization to start the season, pull Wolf up for a few starts with the big club and hope that he fits in well and if he does you make a decision at Trade deadline on Vladar who hopefully increases his trade value by then

I’m completely assuming here, but it seemed like Markys baby impacted his play. After the delivery, we started seeing the old Markstrom again.

Also after hearing how toxic the dressing room was I wonder if that added even more pressure on to him.

I would say go with Marky and Wolf this upcoming and trade vladar for a pick or in a package with Hani for an even bigger player.
