As a third-pairing guy on a cheap deal I think it’s fine, anything above that is a hard pass

If we can get him for cheap, sure
Ronorsomething
The next Shattenkirk, maybe? I haven’t watched him enough to say yea or nay, but we need a LHD to take Ian Cole’s spot.

A million bucks would be Ight

I don’t hate it, for the right price.

Maybe as a Shatty sort of usage

Can’t be worse than Myers if its a cheap contract
ACMop
On the left-side bottom pair, why not. Not like that guy plays much anyways with Heddy and Sergy in the lineup

My thought is that the season is over and Severalli is looking for clicks.

I’d be happy to take a chance on him for a 1-2m. Low risk-high reward if he stays healthy and pans out. Win-win for the team and him, he gets a chance to resurrect his career and a chance at another payday, and we get a quality Dman on the cheap.

I feel like this off-season with how the playoffs went and what it showed, Tampa needs to bolster the dline.
Agree with the comments that oel on a cheaper sided contract would be a upgrade on cole(he is awful)

If he will come for cheap, sure. Ian Cole needs to be replaced.

As someone who watched a lot of the Canucks and of every Lightning game.
**Reasons for the Bolts to sign him:**
* A bit more offense on the back-end, don’t expect him to score any goals but he still can play a good forward pass.
* More Depth on the back-end, always welcome.
* Some good stick-work on the back-end.
* The Bolts will always have a defensive pairing out there where there will be some offensive threat.
* He’s not small at 6 FT 2.
* Hedman likes him.
**Reasons to stay away:**
* Whenever I watched the Canucks and there was some shenangians going on in the back-end it was usually him or Myers.
* He’s maybe 6 FT 2 but he’s not really a strong D-Man.
* Not good defensively.
* The Sedins liked him too and look how that turned out.
Unless he comes here for league minimum on a one-year contract, I would stay away.

Wouldn’t be a bad signing at all as long as it’s actually what he’s worth rather than whatever his last contract was
CHRLZ_IIIM
No, Our glaring need, beside Cernak needing to be healthy, is we need a guy who is defense first, we have plenty of puck movers.

Hard pass

I’m all over it. If we can’t trade Colton for a young defenseman who can skate (which we still should) then getting him becomes a priority, assuming we can’t swing someone like Soucy. Give him a million dollars, and stick him on the 2PP unit with Serge/Hedman playing one timer ping pong, with Maroon (and hopefully Perry) standing in front of the net. He’s still a valuable OFD and with the depth of the team getting obliterated having more offense from the D would be super helpful.

We don’t need to replace Cole. We need to replace McD. 🙁
