Never been a Swayman guy, Ullmark is a more solid goaltender when healthy. Swayman was really only good for a few months, he was much better at moving side to side but giving up the five hole in the 7th game did not help my confidence in him.
G'day Ian and Bessy. Im more concerned with our centre problem to be honest. What ever decisions are made of the goalie situation I'm sure we'll be ok in net.

The Bussi signing has absolutely nothing to do with the Bruins will either do with Ullmark or Swayman this off-season
Bussi has ZERO games of NHL experience. No NHL team, including the Bruins, is going to install a young, just barely developing prospect, that has played ZERO games played in the NHL as either their starter or backup
That would be setting up two possible disasters
One, whoever is the starter (Ullmark or Swayman) if that guy gets hurt, now a guy with no NHL experience would be the Bruins starter for an indefinite amount of time. Clearly that wouldn't be ideal
Two, Bussi has NHL level talent. 100% true. Also 100$ true he needs more time in the AHL
Bussi struggled with rebound control, consistency and a few too many soft goals at times in Providence last year
He needs the reps, the full starter workload and the development time in Providence next year
Sitting as the backup and playing once every two weeks is not what Bussi needs in terms of his current development cycle
If, and I should say, when Ullmark or Swayman is moved the Bruins will have to go out and sign some cheap, NHL veteran backup goalie to a one year deal
They also only signed Bussi to a two way deal and he isn't waiver exempt until the 24-25 season. Which means if they bring him up and he plays for more than 10 games he wouldn't be able to be sent back down to the AHL without clearing waivers next season
So forget about Bussi being the backup in Boston next year. Maybe he gets a few games in Boston and maybe towards the end of next season he sees more time than that
But Brandon Bussi will not start the year in Boston next year and his signing recently didn't do anything to change that notion
