  1. Honestly, the team needs a purge. Clean house and bring up some young guys, find some players that actually want to play in Calgary.

  2. This is a good thing if they dont want to play let em go. Craig will find players hungry to play

  3. It seems like the players that want to be traded never really had an issue with Sutter, now he is gone, they want to be gone as well.

  4. Package lindholm, toffoli, hanifin + 16th overall to Chicago for 1st overall. A guy can only dream for an NHL 09 GM mode-esque trade in real life.

  5. Man…I am an Oilers fan, but this is a real bummer. Hockey is much more fun when BOTH Alberta teams are doing well. Hoping Conroy can right the ship in a timely manner.

  6. Call dr Jill Byden? She is a beast at the negotiating table! She’s keeps the fake catholic president at the podium

  7. I think you hit the nail on the head. Conroy will turn the franchise around just need to give him some time.

  8. Flames are screwed, because it seems everyone wants to be out of Calgary. Lindholm, Backlund, Hanifin, Toffoli – last year Tkchuck and Gaudreau.
It seems like with the Jets, players don`t want to play in Canada in smaller markets, they want to play down south for less tax and more money?
Calgary made a lot out of the situation last year, but again?

  9. It's too bad, because I figured they'd just try to roll it back next season see how it goes. They might not be contenders, but maybe had a shot of playoffs. Guess it's that bad if the players don't want to commit further.

  10. I know we have the luxury of hindsight, but when Gaudreau walked and Tkachuck requested a trade – Calgary should have triggered a rebuild then. Calgary should be trying to be competitive when the McDavid / Draisatl window closes. Now, the Kadri and Hubredeau contracts make going rebuild extremely difficult, but not impossible. Sell the three players and embrace a rebuild.

  11. If nobody wants to sign, Flames can blow it up.
Lindholm in a sign & trade vs. 3rd overall to Columbus. It would give the Flames elite talent, maybe Fantilli, and Columbus would have a center that helps them right now and fits well with Gaudreau.
Hanifin to (don`t hate too much) the Oilers vs. Yamamoto, a player (Ceci or Kulak) and a pick / prospect (Holloway or Broberg)?
Backlund to a contender vs. a 1st at the deadline?
All the players deliver good value and have team friendly contracts, they would return assets that help straight away.

  12. Blow it up. This team has not been at the same calibre as the top teams in the past 10 years, not even close

  13. It’s not about Conroy not knowing what to do. It’s about rebuilding a team that should be just getting tweaked to make the next level and beyond.
Since Winnipeg is having the same problems. Trade the three of them for Hellebuyck, Dubois and Scheifele.

  14. Dicey using the term “imploding” right now, but greatly enjoying your uploads !

  15. Feeling like that’s definitely an intentional title to show up in more people’s’ feeds given the circumstances 😅 If it works it works

  16. I feel for Canadian fans. It seems like so many of their teams are raging dumpster fires.

  17. I’ve never once as a Flames fan wanted to ever embrace a full-on rebuild until now. Hanny is already an anchor on D with loads of experience despite his young age, but if he doesn’t want to be here, some other team will surely over pay for him. Backlund can kick rocks too, but Lindy is the one I’d be choked about losing. The silver lining is that Connie likely made his first order of business figuring out who wants to be here and who doesn’t, and it’s better we have a clear idea before the draft. This could actually be a fairly quick turnaround if they are smart about how they shuffle the deck here, still several excellent pieces to build around. Should be interesting to see how it all plays out

  18. Next step will have to be Craig Conroy and Jarome Iginla making a return as players to try to fill in the gaps. 😜😁🤪
