And I’ll never forget it because I watched it on the nurses computer in the recovery room at Huntington hospital maternity while my wife recovered from C-section

What could have been if they just potted 2 goals in Game 7

Hollywood would have rejected the script if the Isles managed to win the cup that year. Last year at the old barn, took down top teams to get there… still breaks my heart it never happened.

There was a photo of the aftermath of this goal taken from the stands. The players are piled up celebrating on one side of the glass and the fans are piled on the other side; the perspective makes it look like they’re one. I think it was even used on this sub for a while, but it seems to have been scrubbed from the internet. Heck, I would buy a print if I could find one for sale. Anyone know the picture I’m talking about? Anyone have a link?

This whole run had a team of destiny feel to it. As a battered Jets/Isles fan, it was the first time in a long time I allowed myself to believe. I was stunned when it ended, and still to this day can’t believe we didn’t win the Cup.
If that team didn’t have what it took, then I just don’t know what it takes.

Why does it feel so much longer than 2 years ago?
Been downhill since then unfortunately
