  1. Man, the Flyers – Sabres had some of the most "entertaining" hockey games ever… I'm not talking about those 2 hour bench clears of the 70's or the "scrums" where if someone gets hit, all players come together to hug it out like in today's game.. All throughout the 80's and 90's, these two teams constantly battled it out, had fights, line brawls, hits, and overall amazing games.. Why? You had all facets of the perfect hockey game. The teams just didn't like each other and you had the dynamic players like Lindros, LeClair, Renberg, Satan, Zhitnik, Audette.. but most of all you had the multiple true entertainers of the game! Barnaby, Ray, May, Boughner, Kordic, Lacroix, and even nutty Scott Daniels with over 200+ PIMs. Man, what a time for some great HOCKEY!

  2. For as tough as Barnaby was, he sure got knocked down real easy…awful officiating on both sides here…these teams had great battles during these years

  3. If someone was making a hockey movie and needed someone to play the bad tough guy, Kordic had that look.

  4. Ha. That bum Barnaby is out there diving and flopping all over the ice as usual. One of the biggest losers to ever play the game.

  5. did the announcer really say "players dont really fight that much anymore" ? … if he only saw today's game….

  6. As a Flyers fan – I miss Matthew Barnaby. My god we hated him then. But it was such great times when you knew the whole other team and the games were like wars. Barnaby was so good at what he did. Killed the Flyers.
