Will say one thing for being a tough guy Lucic has a good shot and can score some goals. If I am correct Probie was the last tough who had a scoring touch like that.
This team was just ridiculous. Could beat the snot out of you physically but also had the talent to score goals. Such a well rounded team. Miss these days when the bruins were tough and no one wanted to push us around
Jack has gotta be the WORST homer in the league… no doubt about that. I remember watching this game wondering what was Dallas thinking? It's not even a rivalry much less even in the same conference… what's to prove? That game was pretty much the end of the Stars season… and those are still the worst era of Dallas jerseys ever… and well the worst era of Stars hockey too. Ott is still one of my favorite agitators though. He'd turtle A LOT! But, he'd also throw down if the match up was fair. I always wanted to see Benn and Lucic go at it… couldn't really make Lucic's face look any worse.
I hate to be this guy but I miss this NHL. You go to a hockey game between rivals and see really good hockey, hard hits, and real fights. So much fun. Seems like if anyone really hits anyone anymore it needs to be answered with a pushing match with a ref in the middle
Quaider, Luc, Z, Thornton. Oh those were the days. The rest of the roster was tough too, watch the playoffs that year, even Kreji took the body. Fond memories. It was so hard to stomach over the years when the roster got softer and the league as a whole as well. Ference was an under rated scrapper. He swung with purpose.
I was at this game. My dad took my sister and I and missed the first three fights because he was in the bathroom 😂. One of the best games I’ve ever been to. I remember bragging at school the next day that I was there.
