Not that he isn’t wrong but “see how battered and beaten the team that lost in the finals was” is a weird flex.

I don’t get why GMs are so afraid to commit to a strategy that clearly works. Get rid of your Mitch Marners and dress a team comprised exclusively of power lifters and wrestlers. Throw in a boxer or two. This shit is easy, but nobody is willing to do what it takes.

He’s not wrong, can anyone see Marner committing to that kind of punishment? He is totally off his game in the playoffs, he’s playing scared there is no denying it.
Marner’s problem in the playoffs is he’s a play maker with no one to make plays to, since there’s constantly two guys sitting on top of Mathews. Marner would shine on a team with some more depth.
Jay Rosehill has 8 NHL points. In 62 games with the Leafs, he has 5 points.

While him picking on Marner for being soft is stupid, there is a point here. You can have finesse guys but your whole team can’t be Charmin. Too many times in scrums after the whistle, leafs guys are getting shoved or face washed and they simply look the other way. They were like beta males. It’s sad.
