@Ligue nationale de hockey

C’est personnellement mon appel des Sabres préféré de tous les temps. Je suis curieux de connaître les appels les plus célèbres d’autres fanbases

When Burrows slayed the dragon is a good one

  2. Dr_Psycho_809

Conner McGahey , when he spoke the words the gave me fucking chills.

    The countdown :

ITS OVER, THEY DID IT! THEY DID IT ! THE JOB IS DONE! THE COLORADO AVALANCHE ARE STANDLEY CUP CHAMPIONS! AND THEY WILL LIFT LORD STANDLEY A MILE HIGH!

  3. Tiger5804

Not every team has Rick Jeanneret. My favorite Wild call isn’t even commentary, it’s just a sound…

    ***PING***

  4. CraigCDM828

« The game is over. The series is over. The WAIT is over. And the St. Louis blues are Stanley cup champions for the first time in franchise history. »

  5. HoosierSince22

Gene Hart 1974 “The Flyers win the Stanley Cup! The Flyers win the Stanley Cup!”
    And
Al Michaels 1980 “Do you believe in Miracles? Yes!”

RJ has soooo many great calls. May Day is great but when Brian Campbell sent Umberger to another planet was on another level for me. RJ will always be the best play by play announcer ever. It’s not debatable.

  7. buddachickentml

The « May day » was awesome. As a Leafs Fan though, beating detroit in 93 was awesome. Really anything Bob Cole for the Leafs was amaze balls

  8. attempt6

Rick Jeanneret could read the Bible and I would listen.

He could read the dictionary and I would pay to listen

    « After 22 years… »

    Still gives me chills.

  10. bacon205

Not my teams but the two that give me chills are when Washington beat Pittsburgh in the playoffs (can’t even remember the year)

    And.. « after 22 years…. RAYMOND BOURQUE!! »

  11. FlynnLive5

OFF THE FLOOR! ON THE BOARD!

  12. exhalted_legend

I can think of a few..

Patrick Roy vs Chris Osgood and the announcer going crazy

    Felix Potvin vs Ron Hextall

The Pittsburgh announcer when Nick Bonino scored

The NY Rangers announcer when Marek Malik scored in the shootout

The announcer who announced Kyle Turris’ shootout goal vs the NY Islanders (Phoenix vs NY Islanders – Dave Tippett was coaching Phoenix)

Daniel Sedin’s final goal in overtime (set up by his brother no less) to mention the hell of a career both of them had..

  13. RUZIONI08

OFF THE FLOOR! ON THE BOARD! PAUL KARIYA!!

  14. SeaWhoa

My favorite RJ call is probably the Hannan goal in 4OT against the Devils. “This series is going back to where Jimmy Hoffa is” has to be one of the best lines ever spoken by a commentator

  15. Strypes4686

These quick changes now that we….are into our second overtime.

Gretzky had it,lost it… Yzerman picks it up. Yzerman moving, blue line chance… SCORES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    STEVE YZERMAN! DETROIT WINS!

  16. thedirtestbird

One that gives me goosebumps is when Sidney Crosby scored the golden goal, I watch that every now again just to get that feeling of pride for my country

  17. he_is_Veego

Goldie with “LET’S GO HOME BABY!!!” From the then longest shootout of all time (and first time the NHL cycled through the entire roster in a shootout).

  18. El_Kabongg

The dude coined “top shelf where mama hides the cookies” come on now!!!!

  19. yourfavoritebroski

Definitely Marty St. Louis 2OT winner. “We’re going back to Tampa Bay!”

  20. Hiddenbehindawall

The demons have been exercised. When the caps beat the pens

  21. Grizz709

Not even a Sabres fan and I can say just about anything called by Janneret is going to the best you hear.

  22. SabresMakeMeDrink

    RJ will never be replaced.

  23. Muffdvr_76

Even though I’m a Bruins fan the announcer from Buffalo Rick Jeanneret’s MAY DAY, MAY DAY …. Brad May’s overtime winner was Classic .

  24. NY-Black-Dragon

Sam Rosen’s « THE WAITING IS OVER!! » 94 SCF call will always have a special place in my heart, but there’s also his « RANGERS, RANGERS, RANGERS WIN! » call against Pitt from a few years ago.
