#nhl #hockey #torontomapleleafs Le 11 avril 2023… Glad it worked out the way it did.
I am a DIE HARD Pens fan this loss was the first in a while that genuinely made me cry, idc what people say, I think the Pens could have beat Boston in Round 1, not to mention that the next 2 years might be it for Crosby.
To be fair had Chicago finished last that’s technically an alternate reality, a reality where the draft lottery results would have also been different. They finishing 3rd last led to this result so it’s only normal to assume finishing dead last would have also produced a different result.
Great Vid
Yes it did. In a good way though. This game cause the firing of Hextall and Burke and actually hired a component front office decision to get Kyle Dubas involved. I asked myself this question: if the Penguins made the playoffs, they would get crushed by Boston and the organization would have been okay with Hextall and that would been bad decision right now. yes, it would’ve been a good Stanley cup final between Boston and Vegas, but once again, there’s no point of keeping the incredible playoff consecutive streak alive. Go ask Red Wings fans how they feel about playoff streak in their last couple of years in the 2010’s.
I can’t believe a guy named Buddy Robinson may have scored the most influential goal in the last 10 years 😂
Ends up with whoever gets Bedard
GO HAWKS!! I’m never rooting for my own team to lose ever again. Celebrated every goal all year because I couldn’t help it but actually felt pain when we won. Never again. Celebrate EVERY WIN GO CHICAGO FOR LIFE!!❤️🖤🤍
Great vid
I love these types of videos!!! if you start a butterfly effect series, I would watch the fuck out of them!!
I'd credit Hextall for being so extraordinarily incompetent at the TDL and making PIT worse despite trading away some futures.
Butterfly effect? After not being able to play in Game five what effect would the injuries to Matthew Tkachuk have of his future? Will he drop more in point totals in the 2023-2024 season than Jonathan Huberdeau did in the 2022-2023 season?
It's always interesting to find those "what if " moments in any sports league . The fact that it was game 81 for both teams makes it even more interesting. When people say they can't have an impact on the world around them , I always tell them they never know what their interactions with others will really do and you may never really know . A journey man nhl player scores a goal and the penguins fell apart . Who would have thought that would have lead to the Bruins losing in the first round after the season they had . It's a weird, weird world and time we live in .
Anaheim's card was upside down, classic…..
I love stuff like this!!! Great job guy!!! All I know for sure is that Boston Bruins fans will NEVER get over be the highest Presidents trophy award winner to lose in the 1st round and not to say Pittsburgh couldn't have done it but it took a truly David & Goliath hot team to oust Boston and as we all saw Florida was that once in a lifetime 8th seed got hot team this year!!!
florida's first round pick owned by the habs would be 16 tops instead of 31
One effect was me loosing some dough when betting on Pittsburg ("the easiest money in betting history…")
Cool video, but no. The Buddy Robinson goal was just one moment in an 82-game season. You could point to any bad bounce within that season to have as much impact on the draft, who gets Bedard, etc. Game 1 is just as important as 82.
It’s says major sports. The WNBA is not a major league. It’s ok for people to say this, the media needs to stop bowing to this silliness.
and montreal fans were left jumping and pulling hair, lol
I'm a Sens and Oilers fan…I know who he is cuz he played for Ottawa lol
Great video man
Pittsburgh will get the next Connor Bedard. These mega teams get all of the franchise players.
I was at this Pens game and honestly you could not believe the frustration after that goal especially after the huge tie. After the game looking at the box score I was shocked at how good Chicago played. Then watching this postseason unfold was crazy. It’s really crazy watching this video because I was thinking all this SAME STUFF since that night.
Vegas winning Lord Stanley because of ol Buddy
Total rip off of rewinder from secret base. But I like it
Man, you are one of the best Hockey Channels out there. I love all your videos. Love from a Panthers fan.
As a hawks fan, I was pissed when buddy scored, and now its the best thing since 2010, 2013, 2015 and ofc 2007.
I watched this game while it was happening, and I had a weird feeling it was gonna be very impactful because I knew it would kill the pens if they lost, and I knew florida could be dangerous in the playoffs, But EVEN STILL it went well past even my expectations. The NHL's newest cannon event.
Why does Chicago get Bedard although they didn’t finish last?
Florida's upset isn't the biggest in history. In 1981, 13th place Edmonton upset 3rd place Montreal – 2 years removed from a 4-year dynasty. The St. Louis Blues 2019 Stanley Cup has got to be a much bigger upset – dead last in January, then winning the the Cup against the favoured Boston Bruins.
The Leafs didn't fire Dubas, they just didn't renew just contract.
Aside from that, yhe statements are probably true, correct and accurate if Connor Bedard lives up to the projections.
I still say the greatest upset in NHL history is Columbus sweeping Tampa. Boston might have dropped the last 3 games but Tampa didn't even show up.
Buddy Robinson fan, here. I met him at a Binghamton Senators Kids Club event because I was a child when he was playing there. I have some pictures with other guys like Nick Paul and Ryan Dzingel. So happy to see this guy again!
Make more videos in this format…. this is your best video and id love to see more butterfly effects. Maybe the lead up to ovi being deafted or crosby being drafted..
Very well thought out masterpiece.
was at this game
Check his biorythms! When one is on point can be predicted reasonable. There are other factors but it's a good bet. There are days when a goalie should NOT play. Namely, when 2 rhythms cross into the negative at the same time.
Watched this game on TV, I had no emotions after this loss, just dumbfounded
This is disrespectful. Please let me cope.
I was at that game and man, it’s a let down I’ll never forget
